So excited that this game is getting the attention it deserves, in terms of experimenting with game mechanics in journalism. Although I won third place in the web or digital project category, it’s exciting to be acknowledged, especially alongside some incredible projects: Minneapolis Star Tribunes’s gripping exploration of how police interact with mental health crises, and Bloomberg’s data-powered “Amazon Doesn’t Consider the Race of Its Customers. Should It?” project.
